The Essence
Director: Ebele Okoye Nigeria/Germany, 2010 6 min A farmer, whose isolated society is suffering from starvation and despair, turns to the Gods for help. His prayers are heard, but the answer is not what he expected. The Essence has won numerous awards at festivals like the ANIMAFRIK Animation Festival in Ghana and the Silicon Valley African Film Festival in the United Sates.
Okoye studied graphic design and animation at the IMT in Nigeria and the Cologne International Film School.
