CinemAfrica Film Festival in Stockholm started in 1998 and is today the largest festival for African quality films in the Nordic region. For the festival, we invite current filmmakers and debaters to participate in seminars and discussions about the films we screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CinemAfrica is a non-profit association that works to promote quality films from the African continent and its diaspora in Sweden. We showcase feature films, short films, and documentaries created by filmmakers of African origin and serve as a platform and forum for African cinema in Sweden. We strive to increase the availability of African films in cinemas, at festivals, and on television. By screening films from Africa, we aim to complement the Swedish cultural offerings and update the image of Africa.
